if i were a carpenter...

I still have a few things to get pulled together for the upgrade of the children's wing at church. We have expanded and added cabinets to the third nursery, replaced carpet and added cabinets in the 4 year old classroom, replaced a hand-me-down changing table with a professional-grade one(with stairs) to the second nursery, and replaced 3 high chairs with a 6-seat infant table in the first nursery.

I still need to assemble a few things. Today I started by assembling a 6-bin storage bin that I purchased from Target. It has 6 brightly colored cloth bins. I am certain you would have a good laugh if you were a fly on the wall. It took me a bit to understand how it all worked, but I finally figured most of it out. I had to leave it unfinished because I could not find a small enough phillips-head screwdriver to attach the back of the cabinet. I'll go back in tomorrow to finish it and a second one. When they are finished, one will go in the first nursery and one in the 4 year old classroom. I need to order one more for the KingzKidz (preschool children's church) classroom (after the move).

We also have two fold-and-lock cabinets for the second and third nurseries. I opened one of the boxes and quickly came to the conclusion that they will require someone with more expertise than I have.

I ordered some playground equipment for the outdoor nursery area a few months ago, but it has been on backorder. I was happy to learn yesterday that it is now available and scheduled to arrive by April 15.

The only other items still on backorder are our round tables for the Kindergarten-1st grade class and the new changing table for the first nursery.

Slowly, but surely...
