shooting potatoes

Max has been begging to make a potato gun for awhile.  For some reason, I was picturing something like this (yes, I know the difference between a marshmallow and a potato, but that is what I pictured!), but he was talking about something more like this.  So, while Lauren and I were scrapbooking last Friday evening, he and his dad went shopping for supplies to make their ‘gun’.  When I got home, I decided that it was more like a potato cannon.  It was a bit humid and didn’t work, so they sat it aside over the weekend until the air got dryer. 

Monday rolled around and it was finally dry enough to give it another try.  Max went outside by himself to give try it while Dan was still at work and found that it worked!  So, when Dan got home, the three of them headed out to play.
