As is our family custom, we get a family picture by the flower cross at our church. As these boys get older, it gets harder and harder to get their cooperation. First, Des decided to be cool with his glasses, and Max couldn’t get his jacket on. Then, Des decided to just close his eyes. Finally, a picture showing Desmond’s eyes, with everyone smiling…except Dan! Oh, well, I am still thrilled to get this picture to share with you all! (You can also get a glimpse of my ‘ombre’ look. Okay, I am not really “rocking my roots”, but growing it out to it’s natural color; I just thought ombre would sound more 2011.)
Then, it was time for a few photos of the children alone. But, would it be any easier? Hmmm. Des needs to fix the flowers. Lauren and Des decide to be gangster. Then, Max joins in with his “I am too cool to be in this picture” pose. Finally, another close one…if only we could get Des to smile.
Afterwards, we joined friends for more fellowship (another post to follow!). I hope you and your family had an equally wonderful time celebrating Resurrection Sunday!
“But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!”

Where's my Christmas Tree picture?? :)
It didn't really fit in with the rest, but it did turn out. Do you want me to email it to you? or, make a separate post, since it is so special? ;)
Grandpa says, if you want Des to smile, have someone say "GIT-CHEE" to him in an authoritative low voice. Love, hugs and Resurrection Day Blessings to All
