marvelous mother's day moments...

What an absolutely wonderful Mother's Day I had yesterday! It all started with a fantastic start of worshipping the Lord at church where the music just rocked. We returned home long enough for Dan to pack his bags (more on that later). We left and stopped by Fresh Market in Montgomery for lunch fixings and headed over to the Winton Blount Cultural Park (the grounds of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival) where we continued our Mother's Day picnic tradition. It was just lovely, although a little warmer than Mother's Days in recent years. Max enjoyed feeding the ducks some of his leftover sandwich bread.

Desi spent most of the picnic asking when he could play baseball with Dan. That boy has a one track mind that starts and ends with BALL. It is such a joy to see the passion he has for sports. It just runs through his veins.

It is so hard for me to believe how Lauren is growing up. I look at her and see someone who is practically an adult. It scares me to think I only have one more year with her. Am I really that old? LOL!

After we finished our picnic, we stopped by the Museum of Fine Arts (to cool down!) and had a great time checking out the new Children's Room. We saw a great tilework that we are going to try to use the method for something at church.

Then it was time for the inevitable but kind of sad end to our day. Dan had to leave for a few days in Washington DC on business. So, we dropped him by the airport before we headed back home.

Everyday I am constantly reminded how blessed I am to be married to Dan. God has been so very good to me. I cannot say enough or even come up with the words to express how grateful I am for my family. I certainly don't deserve them:)
