It has been awhile since I have made a gratitude entry here. When I completed my 30 days of gratitude, my plan was to make a gratitude entry each 16th of the month. I missed the last three 16th days of the month, but decided to have a 'better late than never' June gratitude posting.
I am grateful that Matthew has survived yet another day. I am grateful for the amazing faith and determination of his parents, Tony and Toni, as they have shown the strength that comes from trusting in the Lord.
I am grateful for the time I had this evening at church to work with the preschooleres while their parents attended the Worship service. Dan and I had the opportunity to fill-in while their regular teachers were out. We had nine 3-5 year olds in our class and we spent time with them teaching them about Gideon's 300 soldiers. I chose this lesson this afternoon after Matthew's daddy (see above paragraph) likened Matthew to the 300 -- those who's numbers showed that God is in control. After the lesson, we all spent some time decorating slips of paper to make a paper chain to send to Matthew's room in the CICU -- just a reminder of all the children from his church who are praying for him.
