Lauren has weeded down her list of potential colleges to attend from six (Samford, U. of Alabama, U. of Montevallo, Queens University of Charlotte have been eliminated from the running) to two (Auburn and Huntingdon). We toured Huntingdon and visited with the head of the Political Science department last October. It was after that date that Lauren even began to consider attending Auburn. Somehow it worked it's way up the list and today we visited the campus, took a tour, met with the head of the PolySci department, ate lunch at Toomer's Drug Store (even tried the famous lemonade), toured the dorms, and checked out the bookstore. It was a great visit except for the weather. Although it was sunny, and would appear to be a beautiful day, it was in the 40s, which is almost unbearable for us southerners. Lauren really liked it. I really enjoyed spending the time with her. My desire for this day is that the visit helps her to make her decision. I will support whatever decision she makes. My gratitude? time with my daughter:)
One more gratitude: I have been trying to get my picture in the about me section of this blog, but just could not figure it out. My brilliant husband figured it out in no time.
