Anyway, it was fun to take this test and see my score. I am so easily amused.

typing queen, i am...
98 words I learned to type in tenth grade on a manual Royal typewriter under the watchful eyes of Mrs. Allen. I have vivid memories of her calling out, repeatedly "a, s, d, f, space, j, k, l, semicolon, space" in her deep southern drawl. By the end of the semester, I was proud to be typing 35 wpm. I felt like I had died and gone to heaven when I was assigned to Mr. McSween's typing class the following semester -- he had electric typewriters . It seemed like a miracle had occurred over Christmas Break. Upon embarking on this new adventure in technology (hey, this was the 1970s), I could now type 100 wpm. Ever since those days at good old CHS, I have had the interesting habit of air-typing (as I call it) when I talk. My mother thought I had some strange twitch, I think. Over the years, the wonderful ability to type has served me well. Everything from making a few extra bucks in college typing term papers for others (this was before computers when everyone had their own. I was one of very few to bring my very own electric typewriter to college...impressive, eh?) to passing a typing test for an extremely low-level job in Washington DC (which led to a not as low-level job).
Anyway, it was fun to take this test and see my score. I am so easily amused.
