Yesterday the weather reports all suggested that there would be much rain last night that would likely turn to snow (although probably just flurries). It was reported that there were flurries in some parts around here, but I did not see them at my house. Today I am grateful that it did not snow. Most people that live around here do not feel that way -- at least, the ones who have never lived somewhere that gets snow on a regular basis. After eleven years living in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC (where the snowstorms were not fun), I would rather only see snow on the slopes while visiting a ski resort.
I am also grateful that, although it was cold today, it was not windy and the sun was shining.
Oh, I almost forgot the best thing of all that I am grateful for today. Background: I recently finished reading the Gospel of Matthew and started on the Gospel of Mark. I ask Dan if there was some type of bible that showed all four gospel accounts side-by-side (by verses, or chronologically) so I could compare them easily. We discussed my specific needs and he showed me a spreadsheet he developed to help him when he was reading the gospels. I printed it off and placed it in my bible for this morning's reading. Last night, after I returned home from scrapbooking, I saw a this sitting on the bar. Yes, my sweet husband went shopping while I was gone and found me a new bible that is just what I was looking for! It was a great read this morning.
Again, I am so very blessed.
