Down deep inside of me I am a very organized person and what you would call a planner. I am very detail-oriented and have a difficult time delegating responsibilities. But, if you saw my desk, or my filing 'system', you would not believe anything that I just wrote.
Before I had children, and was in the full-time paid workforce, everything had a place. I always knew exactly where to find something that I needed. But, as I have gotten older, got married, had children, and become involved in school and church activities, things have gotten, well, out of hand. Being so unorganized, with paperwork being in all kind of strange places just.drives.me.crazy. It is so bad that I just continue to put it off, doing what little is necessary to get by. I have learned to be very good at procrastinating...especially over this past year.
But, today was a good day. No, I did not get organized, but I did catch up on a few things that have laid in stacks on my kitchen 'office' (better known by others as the kitchen bar). It was such a relief to get those few things done that I have plans to attack my desk tomorrow afternoon (after I finish some procrastinated bookkeeping in the morning). I decided to blog about it to have some accountability. I will post tomorrow with some before and after pictures.
