alleluia! he's alive!

Here we are in our Easter Day finery, with a traditional Easter Flower Cross photo opportunity. <see last year's picture> I started to post the children-only version instead of the family version because of my aforementioned vanity. But, I am working on embracing who I am and what I look like and trying not to be so self-conscious about my weight. So, here ya' go!

Lauren and I arrived early to church (around 8:30 am) to help with children's church. We had a few extra minutes, so I started prepping all the fresh flowers that were in the church kitchen (trimming them down to fit into the flower cross). As always, Barb was there, jumping right in to help get the flowers in order. I am also so grateful to a new member and friend, Leigh W., who coordinated the children's classes in filling in the flower cross during the Sunday School hour.

We held three services today -- sunrise, 8:15 and 10:45 am. I have not heard the attendance numbers yet, but I am sure we broke all records. It was packed (as we are still not in the new Worship Center) and rockin' during the 10:45 service. The spirit of the Lord was so strong in that room, I almost could not contain the joy.

All I can say is Alleluia! He's alive!
