love 'em like jesus

I do not know if it is hormonal irregularities or just sinful emotional choices, but I have the tendency to get irritated with actions of my family members quite often. I waver from being offended, to being hurt, to being angry, to being full of self pity when these events occur. After time has passed, and the emotions have subsided, I often sit and make plans for a better way to handle the situation the next time it happens (which it will).

I have finally come upon a solution to my problem. Now, I am still not 100% successful with it's implementation, but the few times I have tried it, it worked. When I tried this new and improved response to irritating actions of others, it really works. I have been truly amazed, although I should have not been surprised at all.

I know I have you all sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out this wonderful miracle of solutions to irritating children (and adults, too!). I will not keep it from you any longer.

Love 'em like Jesus. Yes, I have found that if I imagine that the offensive person is Jesus, and respond as I would if it were Jesus, I immediately have a peace beyond anything I could imagine. That person's actions no longer put that heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I no longer feel the anger. All offense disappears.

So, the next time you are in this type of position, give it a try. I promise you will feel better.

Love 'em like Jesus.
