a day of gratitude - 21

Today was one of my favorite kind of days -- a day where I have much on my list of planned activities and time to do them all while not getting stressed. If you know me, you know the importance of that last phrase.

I get so much more done when I have much to do...unless it is too much to do. If it goes over that line, the overwhelming doom seems to take over and I just.don't.do.anything. Although I have been at one of those overwhelming places in my life, I was able to let it go today and enjoy life. Here is 'a day in my life'.

6:00-7:10 am: woke up, got dressed, woke the boys, made their lunches, fed them breakfast, fixed a cup of tea, and checked my email
7:10-7:50 am: drove the boys to school and returned home
7:50-8:30 am: fixed and ate breakfast (scrambled egg with goat cheese)and read my bible (Proverbs 7 and Mark 1-2)
8:30-9:15 am: walked on the treadmill
9:20 am: woke up Lauren (she only had one class today due to graduation exams)
9:25-10:15 am: showered, dressed and got ready
10:15 am: left with Lauren to pick up lunch at Subway and have lunch with Desmond at his school
10:50 am: arrive at Desmond's school
11:55 am: left Desmond's school after having lunch with him and then helping his teacher (Lauren left at 11:15 to take her final exam for her dual enrollment Government class. She called me when she was finished and picked me up). Lauren and I left for Montgomery to run errands.
12:00 noon - 3:00 pm: stopped at ACMoore, Hobby Lobby, and Distinctive Scrapbooks to pick up items to make her graduation announcements; stopped at the Montgomery Biscuits Stadium office to purchase tickets for the Riverfest Concert on 3/29; returned to Wetumpka
3:05-3:30 pm: Picked up Max at the Intermediate School and Desi from the Elementary School and returned home.
3:30-5:55 pm: hung out with the boys, helped them check their email, played a little Guitar Hero III (I finally tried a song on medium level), waited for Dan to get home.
6:00 pm: left with Lauren to pick up her pictures at Wal-Mart. Drove to the church for a scrapbook crop.
10:15 pm: left the church to return home

I am grateful that my 17 year-old daughter wants to spend time with me -- eating lunch with her 6 year-old brother, running errands, and scrapbooking. I am grateful I have a reliable vehicle that I can use to run errands. I am grateful that my husband works hard so that I can concentrate on home and family. I am grateful that my husband doesn't seem to mind my once a month scrapbook dates with my daughter while he has his boys' night out with our sons.

I am a very blessed woman.
