one more postponement

When we began our church building campaign (the Jabez Project) in March 2007, we were given an estimated date of completion of December 18, 2007, which happened to be my birthday.

That day came and the building was no where near completion and we were given a new date of 'mid-January 2008'. I don't recall anyone truly feeling an anxiety for the extension because we new that the only thing that was really necessary was that we were in by Easter. chuckle.

That day passed and we were given a new date of 'mid-February 2008'.

That day passed and a few weeks ago we were told we were aiming to be in by today, Palm Sunday.

That did not happen, either. The building is getting so much closer to being ready for occupation, but it just.is.not.quite.ready. We want the first Sunday in the new Worship Center to run smoothly and not be an event that distracts.

Soooooo. The final announcement is that our first Sunday in the new Worship Center will be April 6...definitely after Easter. Next Sunday should prove interesting and, um, crowded. That is a good thing, though:)

I continue to remind myself that it is all in God's timing and that he has a grand and glorious plan for our lives.
