a day of gratitude - 20

I am grateful for my dear friend, Barb. She has been through so much this past week with her mother's illness. She has had to drive back and forth to Alex City, spending the night in the hospital room, eating food she would not have chosen to eat if she had the choice, all while being very concerned about her mother's health. She is a good daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend (amongst other things!).

Yesterday, she heard that I would be in the office today. Today, even with all she is going through, and on one of the few days she is not traveling, she made twice as much lunch to take to work so that she could share it with me. She has such a gift of serving others.
